Our story

Greatify was founded in 2021 in Bengaluru by Dinesh Kumar Poobalan and Vyshnavi Narayanan. Dinesh spent over ten years as a software engineer at NVIDIA, working on cloud computing and AI after a Master’s in Computer Science at the University of Southern California, and returned to India to take examinations paperless. Vyshnavi, an alumna of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, brought Fortune 100 product-design experience to the problem.

The result is ExamX: one platform that generates question papers with AI, delivers exams on web and tablets, proctors them with AI, evaluates objective and handwritten answers against rubrics, and reports the moment a cycle closes. In April 2026, SRM Institute of Science & Technology completed 80,000+ fully paperless, tablet-based exams across five campuses on ExamX, with answer scripts ready to evaluate in about ten minutes instead of a week. Why examinations, and why India first

India’s higher-education system enrols 4.33 crore students across 1,168 universities and 45,473 colleges (AISHE 2021–22). Every one of those students sits examinations that are, for the most part, still printed, couriered, invigilated and marked by hand. The National Education Policy 2020 sets the direction for technology-supported assessment, and the UGC’s evaluation-reform guidance calls question-bank based paper setting a much needed reform. ExamX exists to make that shift practical at the scale of a real university.
